Fancy dancin Snappy dressin

Greetings from the land of frozen city sidewalks and endless good times had! It has been quite the week, and slowing down is no where in sight. Since I've been here last, I've explored the inner workings of Buddhist philosophy, began my shallow dive into Kafka's existential themes, continued on the path toward top spin perfection via table tennis and billards, enjoyed some Japanese cinema and brushed up on my Twist...yes life is good.
Finals are well under way, and a with the completion of 31 more pages of writing, I will put Fall '08 to my rudder, and cruise westward toward the setting sun....of Christmas presents that is! But before the sun sets, it must rise, and tomorrow the sun will rise on resurrected dancin feet! Tomorrow night is the Winter Ball, and unlike the high school Drew, I'm quite looking forward to this here school dance, may that be a result of the impending cash bar? One can not say.

I'm lacin up in hopes of some quality tunes, none of this modern hippity hop, these toes only tap to ol' rhythm and blues! They sent out a link where we could request songs, so I've been puttin in the good word for the likes of Sam The Sham and The Pharaohs, Dave Clark 5, The Animals and Mitch Ryder and The Detroit Wheels. Here's to hopein I get to Twist at least once tomorrow night!
Saturday will prove a rockin-steady dancin groove. I'll take a break from film phenomenology, and head over to the Middle East for a matinée reggae extravaganza, starring the one and only Satori Band from Southern California. I've been waiting to see these guys for years, needless to say, I'll suit up for an afternoon of dub rolls, ska rocks and reggae bounce!

Here's to The Sweet Little Rock and Roller in all of us! enjoy life...
